Senator Advocates For More Female Parliamentarians In NASS

Yola Senator Binta  Garba representing Adamawa Northern Senatorial District says the implantation of Beijing declaration on rights of women is attainable  if more women emerge as parliamentarians in the next regime.

Garba, who was endorsed unopposed for a second term, lauded the emergence of Hon Aishatu Dahiru and Hon. Binta Bello as Senatorial candidates under APC platform from the North-East zone.

She urged women to embrace partisan politics to curtail increasing women and girl child abuse through proper legislations on human dignity of womenfolk. “Am happy at least Adamawa and Gombe have three female senatorial aspirants from the Zone. “If more women emerged as lawmakers, the better for us, to address  women and Girl child challenges.

“We know our problems ,they are common and can best be addressed by us. “My endorsement came to me as a surprise, but it means that well-meaning people have confidence in me.” The lawmaker promised to look into the plight of people in her constituency, in the area of agriculture, health and education which is lacking in the area. The senator appealed for intervention supports to the people of the her constituency affected by insurgency.
